What is Fraxel re:store?
Fraxel re:store is the treatment of the skin using a new technology called Fractional Laser Resurfacing. The new Fraxel re:store Laser represents the very latest in laser skin resurfacing technology called Fractional Laser Resurfacing. Fraxel re:store is used to eliminate lines, wrinkles, stretch marks and scarring, including acne and other types of surface scars. It is also effective at removing unwanted pigment such as sun damage and age spots. Fraxel re:store offers dramatic improvements to both the texture and clarity of the skin in a series of 4 treatments performed 3-4 weeks apart. This state-of-the-art Fraxel re:store Laser offers excellent safety and results with little or no discomfort or downtime so you can return to normal activities right away. Areas that are ideal for treatment with Fraxel re:store are the face, eyes, mouth, chest, and hands - virtually anywhere that unwanted fine lines, wrinkles, or spots are present.

How does Fraxel re:store Work?
The Fraxel re:store laser utilizes a new technology called Fractional Resurfacing.  With Fractional Resurfacing Technology, only a fraction of the skin receives the laser light at one time.  The Fraxel re:store Laser delivers a series of microscopic closely spaced laser spots to the skin while simultaneously preserving normal healthy skin between the laser spots.  The preservation of the healthy spots results in rapid healing of the treated area following the laser treatment.  The entire face can be treated with the Fraxel re:store Laser in approximately 45 minutes.

How Many Fraxel re:store Treatments Will I Need?
For optimum results, a series of 4 treatments is typically required.  Fraxel re:store Treatments are performed at 3 to 4 week intervals.

What Can I Expect After a Fraxel re:store Treatment?
Fraxel re:store Laser treatments offer rapid healing and minimal downtime. Patients typically have some swelling and redness. The swelling generally subsides in a day or so, and the redness usually fades over a few days. Patients can apply make-up shortly after their treatment and generally return to normal activity the following day. 

Results
Results from Fraxel re:store treatments are both immediate and progressive with optimal results occurring approximately 3 months after the series of 4 treatments is complete.

Is the Fraxel re:store Laser FDA Approved?
Yes. The Fraxel re:store Laser is FDA approved for use in skin resurfacing. It is also FDA approved for use in the correction of pigmented lesions, such as age spots, sun spots, discolored skin, the treatment of wrinkles around the eyes and melasma.
